These Terms & Conditions govern the reservation and participation in experiences and activities offered, operated, or facilitated by Arenal Natural Trails, including but not limited to nature trails, guided tours, outdoor activities, wellness experiences, cultural experiences, and curated activities.

By booking an experience through our booking engine, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Arenal Natural Trails offers experiences and activities that may be operated directly by the company or facilitated through third-party providers. Availability is subject to confirmation at the time of booking.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Guests must be 18 years of age or older to book an experience.

Certain experiences may have additional age, health, mobility, or physical condition requirements, which will be disclosed prior to booking.

By completing a booking, you confirm that all information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful.

3. NATURE OF THE EXPERIENCES

Some experiences are operated directly by Arenal Natural Trails, while others may be provided by independent third-party operators.

Arenal Natural Trails may act as a facilitator, promoter, or curator for third-party experiences and is not responsible for the direct operation of such services unless explicitly stated.

Experience descriptions, schedules, duration, inclusions, exclusions, restrictions, and requirements are provided for informational purposes and may vary due to operational, environmental, safety, weather, or logistical conditions.

4. RESERVATIONS

All experience reservations are subject to availability.

A reservation is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed, authorized, or otherwise confirmed by Arenal Natural Trails.

Confirmation details will be sent via email after booking.

Arenal Natural Trails reserves the right to cancel, modify, reject, or refuse any booking due to operational issues, safety concerns, weather conditions, lack of availability, inaccurate information, or suspected fraudulent activity.

5. PRICES, CURRENCY, AND TAXES

Prices are displayed in USD, unless otherwise stated.

Prices may include or exclude taxes, service charges, transaction fees, or other applicable charges, as clearly indicated during the booking process.

Applicable Costa Rican taxes will be applied in accordance with local regulations.

Arenal Natural Trails reserves the right to update prices at any time. Confirmed bookings will be honored according to the price displayed and accepted at the time of purchase, unless there has been an evident system, pricing, or operational error.

6. PAYMENTS

Accepted payment methods are displayed during checkout.

Full payment is generally required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

Arenal Natural Trails does not store full credit card details. Payments are processed through secure payment gateways or authorized financial service providers.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that payment information is accurate and that sufficient funds or authorization are available to complete the transaction.

7. CANCELLATION, MODIFICATION, AND REFUNDS

Cancellation and modification policies may vary depending on the experience, activity, schedule, season, and provider.

The applicable cancellation or modification policy will be clearly displayed before booking confirmation whenever applicable.

Failure to cancel within the permitted timeframe may result in partial or full charges, including non-refundable bookings.

No refunds will be issued for unused portions of an experience, late arrivals, failure to meet participation requirements, or voluntary withdrawal from the activity.

Any approved refund may be subject to processing times established by the payment processor, bank, or financial institution.

8. NO-SHOW POLICY

Failure to arrive at the scheduled time and location will be considered a no-show.

No-shows are non-refundable, regardless of reason, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the booking conditions.

Guests are responsible for arriving on time and following the instructions provided in the booking confirmation.

9. SCHEDULE CHANGES AND FORCE MAJEURE

Experiences may be modified, rescheduled, delayed, or canceled due to weather conditions, safety concerns, operational limitations, road conditions, natural events, government restrictions, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Arenal Natural Trails.

In such cases, Arenal Natural Trails will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the experience, offer alternatives, or provide guidance based on availability and the applicable policy.

Force majeure events may include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, severe weather, landslides, floods, volcanic activity, government measures, strikes, transportation disruptions, pandemics, or other events outside the company’s control.

10. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Guests are responsible for ensuring they meet the physical, medical, age, and health requirements of the selected experience.

Participation in outdoor, adventure, nature-based, or guided experiences is voluntary and at the guest’s own risk.

Arenal Natural Trails is not responsible for injuries, illnesses, allergic reactions, accidents, delays, or incidents arising from participation, except where required by law.

Guests must follow all instructions provided by guides, operators, staff, signs, safety briefings, and local authorities.

Arenal Natural Trails reserves the right to deny participation to any guest who appears unfit, intoxicated, under the influence of substances, improperly equipped, or unable to safely participate in the experience.

11. LIABILITY DISCLAIMER

Arenal Natural Trails is not liable for acts, omissions, negligence, delays, changes, cancellations, or performance failures of independent third-party providers.

Guests agree that any claims related to third-party services must be directed to the respective provider, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Arenal Natural Trails is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or misplacement of personal belongings during experiences, transportation, waiting areas, or activity locations.

Guests are responsible for safeguarding their personal items at all times.

12. GUEST CONDUCT

Guests must behave respectfully toward staff, guides, operators, other participants, local communities, private properties, wildlife, and the natural environment.

Guests must not engage in unsafe, aggressive, offensive, discriminatory, destructive, or disruptive behavior.

Arenal Natural Trails reserves the right to refuse participation, remove any guest, or terminate an experience without refund if the guest’s behavior is considered unsafe, disrespectful, disruptive, illegal, or harmful to others, the environment, or company property.

13. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

Personal data collected during the booking process is used for reservation management, customer communication, payment processing, operational coordination, and service improvement.

Arenal Natural Trails will handle personal information in accordance with applicable Costa Rican data protection regulations.

By completing a booking, you authorize Arenal Natural Trails to use the information provided for the purposes related to your reservation and the delivery of the selected service.

14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content related to the experiences booking engine, including descriptions, images, logos, branding, text, design elements, commercial names, and digital materials, is the property of Arenal Natural Trails or its authorized partners.

Such content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, published, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from Arenal Natural Trails.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.

Any disputes, claims, or controversies related to these Terms & Conditions, the booking process, or the participation in experiences shall be subject to the competent courts of Costa Rica.

16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Arenal Natural Trails reserves the right to update, modify, or replace these Terms & Conditions at any time.
